    Climate change

Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather over periods of time that range from decades to millions of years. It can be a change in the average weather or a change in the distribution of weather events around an average (for example, greater or fewer extreme weather events). Climate change may be limited to a specific region, or may occur across the whole Earth.

In recent usage, especially in the context of environmental policy, climate change usually refers to changes in modern climate. It may be qualified as anthropogenic climate change, more generally known as global warming.

For information on temperature measurements over various periods, and the data sources available, see temperature record. For attribution of climate change over the past century, see attribution of recent climate change.

    Re: Climate change

The climate appears to be changing.  The ocean's temperature is rising and the polar ice caps are melting and breaking off.  And the weather patterns seem to be changing.

I wish the U.S. would take a more proactive approach to changing things for the better.  Europe and some other South American countries have but we're too hung up on oil here in the U.S.

The Rush Limbaughs and other conservatives of the world speculate that it is the natural course of nature.  I don't want to take the chance.  I have a 4 year old son and worry about his future.

    Re: Climate change

The solutions being offered have nothing to do with curtailing the so called causes of climate change.  It's a global tax of all the citizens of every nation on the planet that is to go to the world bank and IMF.

It's a huge move toward one world government and the continued transfer of the remaining wealth from the masses to the elite.

There is nothing about getting off oil in their plans.  It's a red herriing.

We are being hoodwinked; completely bamboozled.

The info they are putting out is often wrong and slanted.  They'll show pictures of smaller glaciers from the summer but not larger ones in the winter.

The scientists they've hired to "document" (wink wink) global warming had emails talking about "hide the decline", and the like.  They put out a report with an embarrassing simple math mistake that completely changes the conclusions they drew.

And look at who is supporting this:  The oil companies,  the royal families, the globalists and the corporate media.  That alone should tell us something.

There are all kinds of suppressed technologies that could get us away from the dependence from oil. The elite who suppress them could easily development them and change our so called carbon footprint in a massive way.  Oil companies bought patents to a kind of battery storage technology that could do away with gas powered cars.  These people are not trying to make the world better for you son.

A global tax that gives up more sovereignty to the globalists, or a national cap and trade tax that gives up more citizen rights and invades our privacy and would create massive fines to take our money, has nothing to do with helping the planet.
